Yvonne Rambo-Jones

Yvonne Rambo, 66, of Round Lake Beach, IL, A loving and cherished Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on December 29, 2023. Yvonne was born on January 27, 1957, to John Rambo and Helen Pooler in Lapanto, AR. The second of five siblings - and the daughter of a butcher and restaurant owner - she was proud of her blue collar upbringing. At a young age, Yvonne moved to Chicago, IL, with her family, where she attended the Chicago public school system. At the age of 18 she became a mother. Although young, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her role as a mother to her 5 children, working the assembly line at Ford Motor Company on the south side of Chicago, and later becoming a school bus driver. In early winter of 1996, Yvonne met Reese Jones. They were married June 1st, 2001, sharing many happy years together. In 1998, she gave her life to Christ and regularly attended Shorewood Bible Church, Rolling Meadows, IL, online and in person. Yvonne was predeceased by her mother Helen Pooler, stepfather Richard Pooler, father John Rambo, brother Rick Rambo, niece Dawn Rambo, and she is reunited with her dear friends Sharon and Burns, as well as her beloved dogs Missy and Chi Chi. Yvonne is survived by her husband of 22 years, Reese Jones, her five children and their spouses, 19 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren: Cassandra Rambo, Karla Harden, Karl Harden Jr. (Annetta Harden), Jason Harden (Rochelle Harden), Antoinette Herring-Hart (Anthony Hart); grandchildren Dishon, Breana, Andria, Damonica, Tatiyana, Patrice, Aeliscia, Sade, Nevaeh, Anthony Jr., Adonis, Payton, twins Ja’la and Elijah, Camren, Jaxon, twins Kazi and Kingston, Jaylen; great grandchildren Sa'Nylah, Shylah, Jazelle, Amiya, Kaidence; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly. Yvonne had a profound love for singing, cooking, baking, laughing, spending as much time as she could with her family, caring for her birds and dogs, and her warm and kind personality earned her many friends throughout her life. Yvonne will always be remembered for her Christian faith and never being afraid to announce it. Her big bright smile, bright blue eyes and beautiful curly blonde hair. Her love and dedication to her family, kindness and love to all humans and animals. Her cooking, baking, and beautiful singing voice during family gatherings, and the joy she brought to those around her. Yvonne prayed for everyone and gave up on no one . She would always say “Where there’s life, there’s hope”
